Love, Christchurch aims to celebrate and creatively communicate the 'why' behind the people of Ōtautahi and what they do.
Love, Christchurch is an idea that has formed over the past few years after having a realisation that Christchurch has actually come quite far over the last 10 years since the earthquakes. Although not completely rebuilt, we're beginning to see Christchurch thrive. we've noticed in our conversations and whilst going about everyday life that Christchurch has many people doing incredible things for the city. People with passion. People with projects. People with a purpose. We're inspired by those who have chosen to stick around and invest. Those who have had innovative ideas that have shaped our city. The young, who are changing culture and paving a path for their future. In a tall poppy society, love, Christchurch seeks to provide a space to celebrate those who have contributed to this city - especially the rangatahi (youth). This project utilises multi-media to provide a platform to tell these stories with a focus in particularly on young people. Whether that be current youth and young adults or those who were younger at the time of the earthquakes and are now in their 30s and 40s. |
